TEXT: REVELATION 13: 1 – 4
MEMORY VERSE: Revelation 13: 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
INTRODUCTION
This is a mark or a symbol that will be inscribed or received by men during the reign of the antichrist. What kind of mark is not stated? Probably it’s the emblem of his kingdom and that is not known for now. Must speculations are on scriptural and baseless. But rather it may be a letter brand upon the right hand or the forehead. (666) (Revelation 13: 1 – 6, Revelation 14: 19)
THE REASONS FOR THE MARK OF THE BEAST
- Economics reasons, buying and selling is restricted (Revelation 13: 16 – 17)
- Fear of death (Revelation 13: 15, Daniel 7: 21)
- Because of his forceful ruler ship (Daniel 7: 23 – 25, Revelation 14: 19)
- Identity reasons (revelation 13: 16 –17)
- Because of the control of money (Daniel 11: 38 – 43)
- Because performance of miracles (Daniel 8: 24, Revelation 19: 20)
- Because of control of religion (Daniel 11: 36, Revelation 15: 2, Revelation 16: 2)
CONCLUSION
The mark of the beast is not to be desired or it is not an era or period that is pleasant to be a Christian or Christ followers. It can be avoided by steadfastly and faithfully working with our Lord Jesus Christ (John 3: 16)
