TEXT: MATHEW 24: 15 – 29

MEMORY VERSE: Mathew 24: 21 “For then shall the great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

INTRODUCTION

During the reign of the antichrist, life will be unbearable for the people on the earth, especially for those who will believe and worship God after the rapture. This tribulation is likening to Jacob’s trouble. At this time, God will be unleashing his wrath on the earth.

THE PRESENT TRIBULATION ON BELIEVERS

  1. Believers could have trials and tribulations  (John 16: 33)
  2.  Believers could be persecuted because of their faith (Mathew 13: 21, 2 Tim 3,12)
  3. Offences could come from unbelievers (Acts 12: 22)
  4. Believers present suffering (Romans 8: 17 – 18)

 THE GREAT TRIBULATION

  1. Tribulation of the Israelites (Jeremiah 30. 4 – 5, Daniel 11: 40 – 45, Daniel 12: 1 – 7
  2. The 144, 000 of he tribes of Israel saved after the rapture (Isaiah 1: 9, they are called the remnant, Revelation 7: 1 – 8, Revelation 14: 1 – 5, Revelation 9: 4)
  3. The tribulation saints (Revelation7: 9 – 17)

CONCLUSION

When you are confronted with trials and temptation, these are tribulations that sometimes come on our Christian journey and we can overcome through standing on God’s word. But this cannot be compared with the great tribulations, which will com upon the world after rapture. True Christians will not be a part of this; only the unbelievers and the people who refuse the mark of the antichrist will pass through this. Prepare to meet your God.
