INTRODUCTION
At baptism believers are filled of the Holy Spirit. The term ‘filled with the Holy Spirit’ is used to indicate the reception of baptism of the Holy Spirit. This shows empowerment and under inspiration of the Holy Spirit ( Act 1:5, 2:4,9, 9:17, 11:16); while the phrase ‘full of the spirit’ expresses the continuity of a believer who faithfully walks in the spirit; mortifies the desires of the flesh; and maintaining the abiding fullness of the Holy Spirit (Act 6:3-5, 7:55, 11:24). Also believers that maintain the fullness of the Holy Spirit can be receive an infilling of the Spirit for a particular purpose or task.

CHARACTERISTICS OF SPIRIT FILLED BELIEVERS
- Possesses wisdom and knowledge- Act 6:3, Isa 11:2, Dan 5:12-15
- Manifest love and faith- 2Pet 1:22 Jms 2:17-18, 2Pet 1:5
- Manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit: Act 3:1-7, Heb 2:4, 1Cor 12:8-10
- Boldness and inspired utterance- Act 4:13-14, 19:7-10, 2:14-26
- Zealous for good works- Rom 1:16-17, Phil 3:10-14
- Manifesting the fruit of the spirit- Gat 5:22-24
- Living a holy life- 1 Cor 6:11, Heb 12:14
- Being prayerful- Rom 8: 26
CONCLUSION
Believers filled of the Holy Spirit are expected to possess and manifest God’s nature. The impartation of the Holy Spirit into us was to enable God’s divinity to be manifested in mortal men.
