The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that that we are children of God.(Rom 8:16) Our spirit is made alive by the Holy Spirit through the word of God, then the Holy Spirit dwells in our spirit and we become the temple of the Holy Spirit(1 Cor 3:16, 6:19-20). Jesus described the indwelling of the Spirit as a’ well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14). This well will become rivers at the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (John 7:37-39)

CONCLUSION
Indwelling of the Spirit connotes the process whereby God’s life is imparted into a believer’s spirit (2 Pet 1:4, Joh 5:11). This transition from an old life of sin to new life of obedient to Jesus Christ brings the relationship that God desires from us during our probationary on earth.
