INTRODUCTION
To discipline is to use some set standards to coordinate, check and balance conduct. The disciple’s standard is the word of God and it must be upholding with all sobriety; that is a spiritual standard that a disciple must set which will enhance His spiritualmaturity.
LESSON: KEY REQUIREMENT FOR SPIRITUAL STANDARD
- Observing quiet time (Psalm 88: 13, Mark 1: 35)
- Study the Bible daily (1 Timothy 2: 15, Joshua 1: 9)
- Praying always (1 Thessalonians 5: 17, Ephesians 6: 18)
- Always fellowshipping with other believers (Hebrew 10: 25)
- Discipline the body through fasting (Isaiah 58: 3 – 6, Mathew 17: 2)
- Having a teachable spirit. (11 Timothy 4: 2, 11 Timothy 2: 2)
- Respect for elders (1 Timothy 5: 17, Hebrew 13: 7, 27)
- Evangelising (Mark 16: 15 – 20, Mathew 28: 19 – 20)
- Giving to hospitality (Romans 12: 13, 1 Peter 4: 9)
- Follow-up and visitation (Act 15: 6)

Discipline is part of discipleship uncompromising, and unquestionable character with Godly virtue is the lifestyle of a disciple
