Memory Verse: Eph 4:30 “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (KJV)
INTRODUCTION
The Holy Spirit is entity that a personality (Act 13:1-4:1 Cor 15:44-48). An entity is a person regardless of its corporeality, if it has the attributes of a person. The Holy Spirit has all the attributes of a person, even though is not visible. He has emotion and feeling (Eph4:30, Gen 6:3, Rom 5:5). He also has a will and He can work according to his will and plan (Act 16:6-7, 1 Cor 2:10-13). The Holy Spirit is God because he carries out work that none can do, but God. He created the heaven and the earth (Job 16:13, Gen 1:2, John 15:27); He raise the dead (Rom 1:4, 6:11); cause people to be born again (John 3:5-7); He reproved the world of sin, righteousness and of judgement (John 16:8-13). The Holy Spirit has all the attributes of God: He is omniscient (1 Cor 2:11); He is omnipotent (Luke 1: 35) and omnipresent (Psalms 139:7-8). The Holy Spirit is the third person in Godhead (Matt 28:19, Eph 4:4-5, 1John 5:7). Personal pronoun ‘He’ and ‘Him’ was used for the Holy Spirit as against ‘it’ that is used for inanimate object (John 14:17, 26, 15:26, 16:7-14). The Holy Spirit can speak (Act 13:1-5); He can be lied (Act 5: 3-5); though invisible, He has a spiritual body (1 Cor 15:44).
