TEXT: REVELATION 19: 7 – 10
MEMORY VERSE: Revelation 19: 9b blessed are they, which are called unto the marriage supper of the lamb. And he said unto me these are the true sayings of God.
INTRODUCTION
The marriage super of the lamp is the consummation of the marriage of Christ and the Church as the His bride. The figure is according to the Hebrews custom marriage; covering (3) three stages;
- The betrothal, legally binding when the individual members of the body of Christ are saved
- The coming of the bridegroom for his bride at the rapture of the Church
- The marriage feast; which is the marriage supper of the lamb. The event is connected with the second coming to His millennium kingdom on earth.
NATURE OF THE MARRIAGE SUPER OF THE LAMB
- There will be feasting (Revelation 19: 7, 9, Psalm 78: 24 – 25)
- The event is for the rapture saints (Revelation 19: 8, Revelation 2: 17)
- Righteousness shall be the wedding dress (Revelation 19: 7, 14, Galatians 9: 8, Isaiah 61: 10)
- It is the consummation of the union between Christ and the Church (Revelation 19: 7 – 9, 21: 2, Ephesians 5: 22 – 29, Hosea 2: 2 – 8, 14 – 20)
- It is full of celebration (Revelation 19: 4 – 7, Mathew 26: 29)
CONCLUSION
The spirit and the bride say come and let him that hears say come. And let him that is thirsty come and whosoever will let him come take the water of life freely (Revelation 22: 17) you is invited for the marriage super of the Lamb.
