INTRODUCTION
Christ appearance at the 2nd coming will be at the verge of annihilating the nation of Israel by the anti-Christ, this move will lead to a national repentance in Israel (Zechariahs 12: 11 – 14, Zechariah 13: 1, Joel 2: 12 –17). [O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord’ {Luke 13: 34 – 35}. At the proclamation ‘blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord,’ Christ shall appear for the deliverance of Israel from the hands of the anti – Christ. The anti – Christ with his soldiers will make war with Christ at the valley of Megiddo that is the battle that is called the Armageddon war.
REASONS FOR THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON
For the deliverance of Israel (Joel 3. 9 – 16, Zechariahs 12: 7 – 9)
For the judgement of the anti – Christ and false prophet (revelation 19: 17 – 21)
For the national repentance of Israel (Joel 2: 12 – 17, Zechariahs 14: 10 – 14)
For the ushering of the millennium reign (Revelation 20: 1 – 6)
For judgement of nation (Mathew 25: 3 – 46)
To put an end to Satan’s government (Daniel 2 – 4: 4 – 5, Daniel 7: 16 – 27)
CONCLUSION
Nations will be judged on how they treated Israel during this trouble, Goats are nations that team up with the anti – Christ and Sheep are those that will help Israel. Christ will defeat the anti – Christ at the battle of Armageddon, and he with the false prophet will be cast into the lake of fire alive. Victory belongs to Christ.
